While every league requires a complete set of rules to keep things fair, the Bill Calder - Retreads Racing League is built on a foundation of maturity and respect. We are a community of senior drivers who gather for a night of relaxed, fun racing—free from the drama and intensity of standard competitive splits.
We believe that the best race is the one where everyone stays in the fight. To support this, we utilize a "Community-First" officiating style designed to keep our drivers on the track and in the hunt:
Manual Wave Arounds: Our officials work to get drivers back on the lead lap after an incident.
Unlimited Fast Repairs: One mistake shouldn't end your night; get back out there and keep racing.
Unlimited Incidents: We don't believe in "parking" people for minor mistakes.
Clearing of Black Flags: We prefer racing over technicalities; officials will clear flags upon request when appropriate.
Reduced Caution Laps: Especially in our Asphalt races, we knock laps off cautions whenever possible to maximize your green-flag time.
We care more about seeing you in your rearview mirror than we do about a points gap. At the end of the night, we’re here for the camaraderie. We race hard, but we race as friends.
